About this lotus cookie cutter
The lotus is the flower of Goddess Lakshmi, who is worshipped on Diwali night, which makes it a natural choice for puja sweets and gift boxes. This cutter has five petals – one upright in the middle, two leaning out and two lying low – rising from a flat oval base, so the cookie sits level on a plate. It is a wide shape: about 95 mm across and 74 mm tall at the default size.
The two low outer petals end in fine points at the far left and right. They cut cleanly at 80 mm and above; if you want small lotus cookies for a mithai box, raise Smoothing to about 1 mm so the tips come out rounded instead of breaking off.
For decorating, outline each petal separately and flood them on alternate days (or wait 20 minutes between neighbours) so the petals stay distinct. Soft pink with deeper pink tips is classic; white with a touch of gold lustre looks elegant next to silver-leaf barfi.

Decorating idea
Flood the petals in soft pink and brush the tips with a little deeper pink petal dust.
Printing this cutter
- Material: PLA or PETG, ideally a filament sold as suitable for food contact
- Settings: 0.4 mm nozzle, 0.2 mm layers, 2–3 walls, no supports – the STL is already rim-down
- Blade: 1.0 mm thick and 15 mm tall by default; use 1.2 mm above 120 mm
- Print time: roughly 25–40 minutes at the default size
