About this mango leaf (toran) cookie cutter
Strings of mango leaves, the toran, hang over doorways for Diwali to welcome guests. This cutter makes one leaf at a time: a long, pointed leaf with a short stem, about 85 mm tall and 40 mm wide at the default size. It is the simplest shape in the set and one of the quickest to print.
Bake a whole tray and lay the leaves side by side along a long platter, stems up, with a line of marigold-orange icing or a few rangoli cookies between them, and you have an edible toran for the sweets table. Because the leaf is narrow, 20 or more fit on a standard baking tray.
The stem is the thinnest part – about 6 mm wide at 85 mm – so do not go much below 70 mm, or turn Smoothing up to thicken it. For decorating, flood half of the leaf in a light green and half in a darker green, then pull a toothpick down the middle to make the vein.

Flood in two shades of green and pipe a thin central vein before the icing sets.
Printing this cutter
- Material: PLA or PETG, ideally a filament sold as suitable for food contact
- Settings: 0.4 mm nozzle, 0.2 mm layers, 2–3 walls, no supports – the STL is already rim-down
- Blade: 1.0 mm thick and 15 mm tall by default; use 1.2 mm above 120 mm
- Print time: roughly 25–40 minutes at the default size
