About this christmas wreath cookie cutter
The wreath is the only Christmas template that cuts a hole: the outer edge has twelve scalloped bumps, and an inner round cutter removes the centre in the same press. At the default 90 mm the wreath is 90 mm across and the hole about 36 mm, leaving a ring that is about 13 mm wide at its narrowest point.
Both cutters are printed as one part. The inner ring is held rigidly by three 8 mm wide, 4 mm thick bars on the grip side, 11 mm above the cutting edge, so they never touch the dough and the centre stays open for pushing the dough circle out. On the template page the generator turns on “Also cut inner holes” automatically; if you open the wreath from the generator yourself, tick that box to keep the centre cutter.
Wreath cookies look generous on a plate and make lovely hanging decorations, because the hole is already there – no straw needed. Thread a ribbon through the centre and hang them on the tree, or stack two with jam in between for a festive sandwich cookie.
Size guide
The Size setting is the cookie’s longest side. This is how big the christmas wreath cookie comes out at a few common sizes – the generator shows the exact numbers for any size from 30 to 200 mm.

Dough and baking tips
Shortbread, sugar cookie and gingerbread all work. Roll to 5–6 mm. Ring shapes bake evenly, but the inner edge can close up slightly in soft doughs, so chill the cut cookies before baking. For sandwich cookies, cut a second batch with a smaller star or heart in the centre instead of the round hole.
Decorating ideas
- Pipe small overlapping green leaves all around with a leaf tip, then add a red bow at the bottom.
- Flood in green and scatter red and white sprinkles while wet for berries and snow.
- For a Linzer-style wreath, dust the top cookie with icing sugar and sandwich it over raspberry jam.

- Material: PLA or PETG, ideally a filament sold as suitable for food contact
- Settings: 0.4 mm nozzle, 0.2 mm layers, 2–3 walls, no supports – the STL is already rim-down
- Blade: 1.0 mm thick and 15 mm tall by default; use 1.2 mm above 120 mm
- Print time: roughly 25–40 minutes at the default size
