About this christmas candle cookie cutter
The candle is the slimmest shape in the Christmas set. A tall pillar about 33 mm wide and 60 mm high carries a teardrop flame about 18 mm wide on top, and the flame overlaps the top of the candle so the cookie lifts off the board in one piece. At the default 90 mm the cookie is 90 mm tall and about 33 mm wide.
Slim shapes pack tightly, so you can fit a lot of candles on one tray – handy when you are baking for a crowd. The pillar is a simple rounded rectangle with no thin parts. The flame tip is the finest detail; it bakes fine at the default size, and if you shrink the cutter below about 60 mm, raise Smoothing a little so the tip stays rounded.
Candle cookies make a nice Advent idea: bake four, and decorate one more each Sunday of Advent, or line them up as a cookie Advent wreath around a plate. A row of candles in different colours also looks striking on a long dessert table.
Size guide
The Size setting is the cookie’s longest side. This is how big the christmas candle cookie comes out at a few common sizes – the generator shows the exact numbers for any size from 30 to 200 mm.

Dough and baking tips
Any rolled dough works. Because the cookie is narrow, it bakes a little faster than wide shapes of the same height – check it a minute or two earlier than your recipe says. Roll to 5–6 mm and chill so the flame tip keeps its point.
Decorating ideas
- Flood the candle in red, white or cream and the flame in yellow, then drop a small orange dot into the base of the wet flame.
- Pipe a few drips of white icing down from the top of the candle for melted wax.
- Wrap a piped holly sprig around the bottom of the candle.
Printing this cutter
- Material: PLA or PETG, ideally a filament sold as suitable for food contact
- Settings: 0.4 mm nozzle, 0.2 mm layers, 2–3 walls, no supports – the STL is already rim-down
- Blade: 1.0 mm thick and 15 mm tall by default; use 1.2 mm above 120 mm
- Print time: roughly 25–40 minutes at the default size
