About this gift box cookie cutter
A present is a simple shape that tells the whole Christmas story on its own, and it is the easiest cookie to personalise. This outline is a square box about 72 mm wide, a slightly wider lid (about 83 mm) and a bow made of two loops with a round knot in the middle. At the default 85 mm the cookie is 85 mm tall and about 83 mm wide.
The box and lid are big, flat areas – ideal for ribbons, stripes, polka dots or a written name – and the bow is chunky enough to keep its shape. There are no thin parts, so this is a good cutter for decorating with children. It also looks good small: at 50–60 mm, a pile of little presents fills the space under a cookie Christmas tree.
Present cookies are a natural fit for gifting. Bake a batch, decorate each one with the recipient’s name, and use them as gift tags or tuck one into every card.
Size guide
The Size setting is the cookie’s longest side. This is how big the gift box cookie comes out at a few common sizes – the generator shows the exact numbers for any size from 30 to 200 mm.

Dough and baking tips
Any rolled dough works. Chocolate sugar cookie dough is a nice change here because a dark box makes bright ribbons stand out. Roll to 5–6 mm and chill. Square shapes can bake with slightly darker corners; turn the tray halfway through baking for even colour.
Decorating ideas
- Flood the box and lid in one colour, then pipe a contrasting ribbon cross and bow on top.
- Make every present different – stripes, dots, tartan lines – and arrange them in a pile on the plate.
- Write a name or a date on the lid and use the cookie as an edible gift tag.
Printing this cutter
- Material: PLA or PETG, ideally a filament sold as suitable for food contact
- Settings: 0.4 mm nozzle, 0.2 mm layers, 2–3 walls, no supports – the STL is already rim-down
- Blade: 1.0 mm thick and 15 mm tall by default; use 1.2 mm above 120 mm
- Print time: roughly 25–40 minutes at the default size
