How to make a learning tile
- Choose a mark type: a letter, a number with matching raised dots, or a simple shape.
- Select the mark and decide whether to show counting dots for a number.
- Set the tile size and relief. The preview summary shows the tile and raised-mark dimensions.
- Download the STL and print it flat on its back, then make more tiles for an activity set.
For a multicolour printer, use 2-colour ZIP. Import the base and raised mark STLs as two parts of one object in Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer, PrusaSlicer or another multi-material slicer, then assign a filament to each part.
Try it as a learning activity
Match a number tile to a group of objects, trace a raised letter with a finger, or sort the shape tiles. An adult can choose or print only the pieces appropriate for the activity.

Frequently asked questions
What does this generator make?
It makes one flat tile with a raised uppercase letter, a number with optional counting dots, or a simple raised shape. Each tile downloads as its own STL.
Can I change the tile size?
Yes. Choose a tile width from 28 to 60 mm. The raised mark scales to stay inside the face with a border around it.
Will the letters print clearly?
The letters use a bold rounded system font and are raised 0.8 to 1.6 mm above the tile. Print a sample first; actual results depend on your printer, nozzle and material.
How do I print it in two colours?
Download the 2-colour ZIP, then import the base and raised-mark STL files as two parts of one object in a multi-material slicer and assign a filament to each.
Does the tile need supports?
No. The base and raised mark are designed to print flat on the bed without supports.
Is this a certified children’s toy?
No. This is a maker tool for supervised learning activities, not a safety-certified toy. Adults should check printed parts for sharp edges or damage and decide whether they are suitable for their child.
Is my text or selection uploaded?
No. The tile is generated in your browser. The selected letter, number or shape is not sent to a server.
